White Eagle Men’s Open at Montgomerie Golf Club Dubai (series 1) took place on the 23rd & 24th October 2020.
In a 2 day event, 36 hole Individual Strokeplay format and with the course set-up, fitted to enhance a more competitive atmosphere to all amateurs, we witnessed some unbelievable scores. Viggo Sorensen took the top spot with a superb, day 1 gross 70 and a final round gross 69 to claim the championship trophy in this year’s Montgomerie Golf Club Men’s Open 2020. The Champion managed to keep its lead in the big and strong field packed with scratch and single figure golfers capable of shooting low scores. His greatest opponent- Arjun Gupta claimed 2nd place being only 1 shot behind the leader in this prestigious golf tournament. Toby Bishop, took the 2nd Runner Up Trophy with a great gross score of 141 after 2 challenging rounds.

This outstanding tournament took place at Montgomerie Golf Club, set in the heart of the most prestigious Dubai location, is a design collaboration between golfing great Colin Montgomerie and Desmond Muirhead. The 13th green has since been softened to a more conventional kidney-shaped island. The Monty is an open, expansive championship course with huge green complexes. A links-land style oasis with over 200 acres and featuring 14 lakes and 81 bunkers which will challenge players of all levels. It is the perfect place for all golfers to create unforgettable memories. A staggering 49 acres of water is showcased across the facility, creating mouth-watering backdrops and challenges. Professional designed and magnificently sculpted, this 7,446 yard championship course combines the great traditions of golf within a stunning Arabian environment.
