WHITE EAGLE SPORT’s VISIT AT DUTCH OPEN 2022
Let me update you on what is happening at White Eagle.
We are all set for a busy 2022 summer here in Dubai!
A couple of week’s ago, I travelled on a business / fun trip to watch the Dutch Open, Thursday 26th – Sunday 29th May, 2022.
It was held at Bernadus Golf, Cromvoirt in the Netherlands.
We were there to meet our sponsor principals from Duca Del Cosma, our Italian shoe partners who have offices in the Netherlands, that we are distributing here in this part of the world.
We have some very exciting news about Duca Del Cosma and the UAE, that we will be announcing in the next couple of weeks, watch this space!
It is hopefully a big breakthrough that we have been working on for a while on this wonderful product. We cannot wait to tell you all!
It was a fruitful trip and it was great to meet up with our White Eagle Ambassador, my fellow Pole, DP World Tour player Adrian Meronk. We spent a lot of social time with him, along with his mother, I am always amazed how hard they work before and after their rounds on fitness as well as media. When you go behind the scenes you soon realise that all the pros are all genuine elite athletes.
Adrian played brilliantly all week and shot rounds of 68, 68, 72 and 68, for a four round total of 276 (12 under par) and a third placed finish.
It also earned him over €110,000 and took him up to 9th in the season long DP World Tour Rankings.
It saw Adrian have a great month of May, where he had finishes of: tied third in Spain, sixth in the Soudal Open and sole third in the Netherlands.
We are so proud of how Adrian is playing, carrying our White Eagle logo on both his shirt sleeve and golf bag.
Thanks to all the local media for picking up on Adrian’s golf as a Dubai resident and Dubai Ambassador.
Adrian is now back home in Poland with his family, resting and getting ready for three big back-to-back-to-back weeks on the DP World Tour. They are three of the biggest events Adrian will play this year.
His third placed finish in the Netherlands gave him a precious invite to The 150th Open at St Andrews in mid-July. This will be Adrian’s second major, having played in the 2021 US Open. At the end of this month Adrian will play in the Horizon Irish Open where he hopes to catch-up with Dubai friends from Dubai Duty Free, followed by the Genesis Scottish Open and then The Open.
Disappointingly for us all, last week Adrian missed the cut in the Porsche European Open following a nine on the par three 17th hole in round one, which meant he both did not make the 36 hole cut by just one shot as well as the chance to qualify for next week’s US Open. He had an excellent second round of 69 over a challenging golf course and he only just missed out on the four-event mini-Order of Merit US Open qualification process.
What a shame!
But that is professional golf and we are sure that Adrian will continue his great golf for the rest of the 2022 season.
