World Corporate Golf Challenge a Success and Following our White Eagle Sport Ambassador Adrian Meronk on the DP World Tour
As I write this October Blog we have just completed a successful UAE Final of the 2022 World Corporate Golf Challenge held at Arabian Ranches Golf Club, Dubai.
Congratulations to the pairing of Ian Overton (5) and Stuart Quinn (1), representing Ro3, who shot an impressive 47 Stableford points, off their low handicaps, to win the UAE Final by a shot and qualify to play in the World Final of the World Corporate Golf Challenge in Tenerife, Spain, Monday 17th – Friday 21st October, 2022.
The World Final will be played over 36 holes, over the Costa Adeje Golf course, and included in the first prize package for the winners includes; return flights, accommodation and participation in the World Final. The UAE World Corporate Golf Challenge is sanctioned by the Emirates Golf Federation.
This is the first time that White Eagle Sport has organized the UAE chapter of this event that has been running globally, since its inception in 1993.
Historically over 1 million golfers have participated globally since then.
Over 30 countries will play in this year’s World Final, with over 50 countries having participated through the years.
I believe there is huge potential for this World Corporate Golf Challenge in both the UAE and regionally.
All of us at White Eagle Sport want to build on this first event next year, by commercialising it with sponsor support as well as by taking it to all the UAE Golf Clubs with Qualifying Rounds aligned to club events with, we are planning, over 1,500 golfers throughout the UAE taking part, culminating in a UAE Final and our winning pair going through to the World Final.
We want to make the World Corporate Golf Challenge to become one of the leading Corporate Golf initiatives in UAE Golf and be a ‘must play’ for all amateur golfers who have a desire to be competitive and a chance for that ‘Bucket List’ prize.
We are planning to enhance the UAE Final offering to become a very special Gala Evening involving unique golf themes.
